Tierra Maria Estates, a fully-developed residential farm subdivision in Barangay Anilao Lipa, Batangas is set to hold Free Lectures on Creating an Ecological and Sustainable Lifestyle on March 29, 2008.

The event will be graced by two esteemed lecturers in their respective fields, both advocates for a healthier environment---Ms. Chin Chin Gutierrez and Mr. Pat Acosta.

MR. PAT ACOSTA has made it his mission to propagate skills and know-how on Organic Gardening. His 3,000 sq. m. micro-eco farm named The Master's Garden, located at Brgy Pinalyok, Puguis, La Trinidad, demonstrates the benefits for the environment and the consumers of organically-grown vegetables and crops. As a farmer, he has equipped himself with the right knowledge and proper skills to raise such a productive farm.  A horticulturist at heart, he developed his confidence through training at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) and hands-on knowledge while visiting organic farms abroad.  The Master’s Garden introduces organic vegetable production and generates its own organic fertilizer of compost from wild plants, weeds, leaves, kitchen scraps, etc.  

MS. CHIN CHIN GUTIERREZ was recently introduced as celebrity endorser and lot-owner of Tierra Maria. Ms. Gutierrez was cited as Time Magazine’s Asian Hero for the Environment in 2003 and is known for her active participation in forums and conducting lectures on caring for the environment.   Chin Chin is an active campaigner for her advocacies, crossing barriers of age, education background, and creed.  She has been effective in getting the message of environmental conservation across to her diverse audiences by way of inspirational concerts and talks all over the country.  At this March 29 event, Ms. Gutierrez is set to give important pointers on Recycling and Sustainable Development.
